A really strange spider

Tennyson called me at work to tell me about his new pet spider he had captured in a pickle jar, and this is how he described it:

"It's kinda shaped like spiderish and it has eight legs. And it's yellow with black spots and has a black thing for a mouth. And it kinda looks strange. It's actually a really strange spider. And it's kinda queer."

And this is the picture he took and texted to me.

Sometimes the best medicine for a stressful week is a weekend trip to the cabin.  But we don't have a cabin.  So a huge thanks to the Cutlers who filled that prescription and invited us to join them in their delightful cabin in Big Cottonwood Canyon this weekend!

After the smiles,

the sledding,

and soaking our cares away,

we're feeling much, much better.

Arches National Park

Remember that awesome weekend road trip we took to the surreal Goblin Valley and the beautiful Little Wild Horse Canyon?  Well, there are about a million other adventures and places to explore in that little corner of Utah, and one of them is the Utah landmark of Arches National Park.  This place is iconic and deservedly so. 

Is there a chance that the pearly gates are actually made out of red Navajo Sandstone?

  Just sayin'.

Today we said goodbye to our late-90s-model cell phones and entered the world of the iPhone 5.  It's such a wonderful, panoramic world.

Love, love, love having such a nifty little camera at our fingertips.  Now if they could just come up with a phone that changes diapers.
